How to Play
A gentle photo game for kids, grownups, and everyone in between — especially warm around Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fourth of July, and family reunions.
1. Build your deck
Head to My Deck and add photos of the people, pets, and places you love. Each card has:
- A photo (from your device — never uploaded anywhere)
- A name
- A category: Family, Friend, Pet, Place, Famous Person, or Other
- An optional fun fact (used by the Fact Quiz)
Mix in famous people too — athletes, actors, musicians, historical figures — for a livelier group game with older kids and teens.
2. Pick a mode
Three modes, all built from your own deck:
- Flip & Reveal — tap any card to see the name and fact. Great as a first pass with a child or a loved one who needs a warm-up.
- Who's Who? — a photo appears, you name the person, then flip to check.
- Fact Quiz — read a fun fact and pick whose it is.
3. Solo or family / group
On the setup screen, pick Just me or Family / group. Add each player's name and the game will rotate turns automatically. A live scoreboard shows who's up and everyone's score.
4. The turn-by-turn flow
- The next player is highlighted on the scoreboard.
- A photo (or fact) appears — the player guesses out loud, then taps their choice.
- The card flips to reveal the answer. A correct pick adds a point.
- Tap Next to pass to the next player.
Optional: Speed Round
For lively holiday tables, flip on Speed Round in setup. Each turn gets a lighthearted 15-second timer. It's off by default and never available in Gentle Mode.
Gentle Mode — for memory support
Designed for loved ones with dementia, MCI, or anyone who just wants a calmer game.
- No timer, ever
- No "wrong" language — every answer is met warmly
- A small, familiar deck (up to 6 cards per round)
- A "Come back to this one" button instead of penalties
- Closing messages that celebrate the time together
There's no winning here — just time together.
